Milky Way over Maryhill

Looking into the heart of the Milky Way from Maryhill Washington in the Columbia River Gorge. The structure in the foreground is a monument build in 1929 to honor the soldiers that fought in World War I. The monument is a replica of Stonehenge - the original Stonehenge was a sacrificial site and so this monument was intended to commemorate the sacrifices made during the war
